9690: Creole, Education and (Ir)Rationality---by Yves Dejean (fwd)

From: Michel DeGraff <degraff@MIT.EDU>

Dear all,

Professor Yves Dejean, from Haiti, has asked that the following pre-print
of his be made available to those interested in the (non)role of Creole in
Haitian schools. The article also addresses a number of related issues,
and non-issues, vis-a-vis theory and practice in Creole studies.

Dejean's manuscript, to be published (after copy-editing) in the next
issue of Chemins Critiques, is now accessible in PDF format (for Acrobat
reader) at the following Internet site:

http://web.mit.edu/linguistics/www/degraff/rasyonalite-kreyol.pdf

The Acrobat Reader program is available for free at http://www.acrobat.com

Giving Thanks,

                                 -michel.
