Marleine Bastien,  Founder/Executive Director of  Fanm Ayisyen Nan Miyami, 
Inc., Vice-Chair of Haitian-American Grassroots Coalition will receive the 
¨Women of the Year Award¨ offered every year by Ms Magazine, considered 
today a ¨landmark institution in both women´s rights and American 
journalism".  Nominees for this distinguished award include:  tennis 
sensations Venus and  Serena Williams, trailblazer Yoko Ono, 
actress/activist Jane Fonda  and Elektra Records CEO Sylvia Rhone. Ms. 
Bastien will travel to New York to receive this prestigious award.
