a1281: Re: Help Haitian Coffee Growers (fwd)

From: Philip Richter <philipcrichter@hotmail.com>

About four days I suggested Diasporans consume only Haitian free traded
coffee as personal commitment to help Haitian coffee growers. I got a few
comments and questions, but none from people of Haitian origin. Maybe the
mention and address I made of an international aid organization turned
people off. After all, if the invasions of aid organizations have done any
good, why is Haiti still so poor.

So, here is the address of a private commercial enterprise that imports fair
traded coffee to the USA. It connects to the Information Office of Equal
Exchange, the largest fair trade importer in the US, which is at least as
helpful if not more practically minded, and which is less potentially
obnoxious than the other one I gave.
