The question of how many ambulances are in Haiti is irrelevent to anything.
What you should ask is how many ambulances have gasoline, how many have
drivers who know how to drive, how many have trained emergency technicians,
and a working phone related to the ambulance. Most ambulance trips in Haiti
are not for emergencies. They carry dead people or pre-scheduled trips from
one hospital to another. Real emergencies arrive in the back of a pick-up
truck.
