I believe that your post to Corbett's list refers to the extract from
Martineau's article that I included in "A Haiti Anthology: Libete" published
by Markus Wiener in 1999. It is not a book but an article that first appeared
in Roots magazine, a worthy publication edited by Marx-Vilaire Aristide that
appeared for a few issues in the mid- 1990s. I do not have the original of
the magazine issue to hand but maybe someone else on the list who does will
contact you and send you a photocopy - it is maybe two pages long only.

The details of the issue in which it appeared are: Roots, Vol. 1, No.4 Winter
1996/7
