January 1940: Dedication of the "new" convent at St. James (fwd)

In the church bulletin of Jan. 14, 1940 I found a story by Father O'Connor
about the dedication of the new convent.

Caution -- I even posted a "readers alert."  P.J. was certainly trying to
be both nice and humerous, but this is certain a piece that will stand
most modern feminists' hair on end.  Ah, the times, the times.....
