For what I understand, prior to Duvalier, the son of a poor coffee picker
such as Aristide would have had zero chance of becoming a priest.

Did the changes in the Catholic Church in the 1960's open the door to
Aristide socially and eventually politically? Is Aristide a product of
Duvaliers'so called "social" revolution?
