12928: Re: 12897: Fw: Fonkoze E-newsletter #16: Building Economic Democracy in Haiti (fwd)

From: tou dwat <tou_dwat@hotmail.com>

The pyramidal schemes were not coops.. they did not lend the money collected
as deposit.... Rather they paid interest on the deposits with new deposit
until the volume was interesting enough to skip bail...

Fonkoze works toward the deepening of the financial markets, just as the
real coops do... Mixing real coops with pyramidal schemes will get you more
subsidies (or private contribution) and goes along with the american agenda
of discredit of actual management in Haïti, but is opposite of your mission
to bring sustainable fiancial services to the majority....

Be professionals and give credit to coops who did the kind of work you guy
do well before... and with a fraction a the grants you receive...
