	Colloquium V
	May 26-30, 2003
	Santiago de Cuba

	The Congress of Santa Barbara (KOSANBA),
	a scholarly association for the study of Haitian Vodou

	announces its Fifth International Colloquium to be held in
	Santiago de Cuba, from May 26th until May 30th, 2003.
        The Colloquium is being held in tandem with the Caribbean Studies
	Association's (CSA) 28th Annual Conference.

			CALL FOR PAPERS

	Theme: "Lot Bo Dlo: Dyaspora Peyi d Ayiti Ak Tout Vodou li."
	       	"Across the Waters: The Haitian Religious Diaspora."

	Under the eagis of the Lwa/Orichas:

			Ezili Freda Danhomin/Ochun
				   and
			     Hevioso/Chango
	Deadline:
	November 1st, 2002

	The proposed panels and papers will be about the transfer of
	Haitian Vodou to other Caribbean countries, North America and
	the world, the transformations inherent in such diasporas, and
	the new meanings of Vodou in the religious discourse worldwide.

	Papers can be presented in Haitian (Creole), French, English
	or Spanish.

	Please mail your proposals by the deadline to:
