It is interesting this point was brought up since this is the exact
resolution that Dejean Belizaire and Thomas Eddy Dupiton forced through
parliament, at the behest of Cedras/Francois and company in 1991, to justify
installing Joseph Nierette. It was this twisted logic that was used to
provide a legal veneer to the coup and resulted in the slaughter of
thousands of Haitians whose only crime was to elect Aristide president of
the Republic of Haiti.

And people continue to wonder why some of the popular organizations resort
to public displays of force and violence. I don't agree with that tactic but
I can certainly understand their anger given that some people are clearly
hellbent on the destruction of the constitutional government(it appears many
of them have come to slum with us on this list).

I simply do not see the validity in a logic that equivocates supporting
democracy with a suicide pact. As my father once said, "Boy, you either grow
up and learn to play with others by the rules or get used to playing alone
the rest of your life." I think it was sound advice as the Convergence has
come to learn.
