Haitian Art Collectors Answered the Call
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::

When "Fondation Espoir" and "Healing Hands for Haiti Foundation" asked
ArtMedia Haiti to organize and conduct an art auction, to take place
during a gala evening at the El Rancho Hotel September 21st, it generated
an immediate and enthusiastic response from the entire team at
 ArtMediaHaiti.Com.

The evening was a resounding success and marked the conclusion to the
kickoff of the campaign, whose goals are to increase the awareness of the
Haitian community to the problems encountered by the disabled of our
 country.

At the heart of this campaign is the "Fondation Espoir" represented by
Nadege Robertson Tippenhauer whose focus and devotion are equal to her
talent as a singer, her father Mr. Jon Robertson, who is the current Dean
of the music department at UCLA and her mother Dr. Florence Bellande
Robertson. A family which has undertaken a courageous battle for the
 rights of the disabled.

"The Healing Hands for Haiti Foundation" was equally well represented by
Mrs. Gina Duncan whose determination and organization skills contributed
immensely to the success of the campaign.

Outstanding art, artists and musicians were present that evening.
Beethova Obas with his guitar charmed us with some of our favorite songs.
Two world renowned Pianists, Jon Robertson and Yuki Nagasawa, interpreted
for us pieces by Gershwin, and finally Nadege accompanied by her father
on the piano, enchanted us with her marvelous voice.

The highlight of the evening was the auction hosted by Marie Alice Théard
Ravix, Seventeen artists responded to the call by donating their work for
the cause. Presented were paintings by Sergine André (Djin), Gesner
Armand, Burton Chenet, Maritou Dupoux, Levoy Exil, Marie Louise Fouchard,
Iris, Michèle Manuel, Ronald Mevs, Pascale Monnin, Robert Paret, Grégory
Vorbe, a digital picture of Roberto Stephenson, a tapestry by Pascale
Faublas and a resin encased mixed media by Edouard Duval Carrié.

The paintings of Marie Louise Fouchard, Philippe Dodard and Michèle
Manuel drew the attention of the art collectors who attended the auction.

The evening ended with the captivating rhythms of Strings.
