The bodies of three males were pulled from waters at the Prince George Dock
early Thursday morning.

According to unconfirmed reports, the bodies are believed to be Haitian
nationals who may have arrived in the country late Wednesday night.

The bodies of the first two men, believed to be in their late 20s early 30s
were pulled out of the water shortly after 6 a.m. on Thursday.

The third body, believed to be that of a teenager, was taken from the water
at the rear of the old Straw Market, shortly after 11 a.m.

According to Police Liaison Officer, Superintendent Hulan Hanna "although we
have yet to confirm the identity of the persons pulled out of the water, we
believe them to be of Haitian decent."

Mr. Hanna said the police were at the time working with their sketch artist,
and drawings were to be released.

"We are asking anyone who may have information on these men to contact the
police as soon as possible," Mr. Hanna said.

Questioned as to whether there were any bruises on the body or any other
injury, Mr. Hanna said no.

When the Guardian's news team arrived on the scene Police and Defence Force
officials, along with employees from the Coroner's Department were at the
time retrieving the body of the third individual.

It appeared as if there were bruises to the face. It was unsure as to
whether the bruises occurred as a result of how long the body was in

see three,the water.

Employees from the various business houses, straw vendors and visitors had
already lined the street, hoping to catch a glimpse of the

body. While stationed behind the yellow police caution tape, they traded
their theories of what may have happened.

Port Authority Controller Anthony Allens, who was on the scene, had very
little to say. He did confirm however that three bodies were taken from the
water.

According to a well placed source, a blue and white Haitian sloop that was
anchored at the dock, was their mode of entry.

"We believe that they arrived in the country late last night and upon
docking, they attempted to swim their way across," the man said.
