14334: Allouard: Re: 14297: Cleo714: Pye Sabliye (fwd)

From: Philippe Allouard <allouard@libertysurf.fr>

Pye Sabliye does grow in several parts of the country, and even in
Port-au-Prince and Petion-Ville, one was cut last year Rue Louverture in
Petion-Ville (the wood was totally rotten, there is one Rue Chavanne, and,
if I am not wrong, a very large one near St Peter's Church, in the midle of
the road.

The tree has thorns on its bark. The fruit, small apple size, has the
shape of a pumpkin, slightly flatter, and more regular as it is divided in
equal compartiments, each one of them enclosing one seed.

Ripe, each division break appart and reveal a wooden enveloppe with a
claw-like ending, real hook that is terrible for barefoot walkers!

This wooden part break in two to free a flat and roud seed 2cm Dia by 4
mm.

People can roast it for several stomach or digestive sufferings.

Please excuse my writting so bad...

    Happy New Year.

                                                    Philippe
