15021: Fwd: Matt Ray asks: Things to do on Good Friday (fwd)

From: Matt Ray <mray@novell.com>

All,

We are planning a medical mission trip April 10th through the 20th.
We typically work a 5 day week while we're down there, Monday through
Friday. We see amputees and children in orphanages, etc., during that
week. Well, apparently on Good Friday the clinic will be closed.
I'm looking for suggestions from you on what we should do on that day.
There are 17 of us in the team and we're a little adventurous. We
already have a trip planned to Kalico Beach on Saturday. My thought
was to make a day trip to Jacmel & Basin Bleu. I have a few concerns
about this. 1. Is Jacmel and Basin Bleu really a feasible day trip or
not with Haiti's current road and transportation conditions. 2. If
not, what kind of accomodations would there be in Jacmel to spend the
night? 3. If we do speend the night there, is there another
beach/resort we could visit in the South as opposed to Kalico in the
north? As some of you may know, Kalico is sort of an Americanized-type
resort with a nice lunch and drinks provided for the day.

Also, I'd invite any suggestions on alternative activities for that
day.

Mesi davans.

Matt
