15364: Dreyfuss: RE: 15320: Burnham asks about a "Haitian" hockey player (fwd)

From: Joel Dreyfuss <jdreyfuss@attglobal.net>

There was an article in (I think) the Haitian Times a while back that listed
a half-dozen Haitians at some level of professional hockey; Laraque and
Vilgrain are two. The others are working their way through the system. I
don't know if these guys are Haitian-American or Haitian Canadian but here
are a few names among the NHL's 30 or so minority players that sound
Caribbean: Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre, Sheldon Souray, Theoren Fleury..of course,
the greatest "black"player to date was Grant Fuehr, the goalie for Edmonton
in its Stanley Cup heyday, so you can't tell just by the name..as this
Haitian can attest..
