15731: Re: Saint-Vil: Applauds for Nekita's Haitian dialogue proposal (fwd)

From: Jean Saint-Vil <jafrikayiti@hotmail.com>

Nekita's piece titled "Towards an Interdisciplinary and Intergenerational
Pan African Dialogue " is very interesting.

The project proposed therein is stimulating and worthy of encouragement.
This sort of broad-based inter-Haitian multi-generational dialogue is much
needed in many Diaspora cities. If Boston is the Athens of America where
such a dialogue could start, Montreal could be next in line.

Perhaps, an outgrowth of such an initiative could also look at methods of
promoting a similar dialogue between Haitians living outside of Haiti and
the brothers and sisters living at home. I mean something different,
grass-roots and more far-reaching than the government-led initiatives that
have taken place thus far. An initiative that could assemble people of
various political viewpoints, religious persuasions and socio-economic
backgrounds.

Bravo Nekita ! Kenbe rèd pa moli !
