15904: Wilcken: Re: 15866: Homicile: Haitian Revolution in visual media (fwd)

From: Lois E Wilcken <makandal-ny@juno.com>

Besides Robert Cornevin's Le Théatre Haïtien des Origines à Nos Jours
(1973), a book by New York-based Haitian actor Bob Lapierre surveys
Haitian theatre and cites a number of plays about the Revolution. He
does not give information about how to find these pieces (apparently,
many Haitian plays are not published for fear of plagiarism), but good
research might uncover a few. The title page of the book, The Ayitian
Theatre (2001), gives the phone number 212-571-4141 for Hard Copy
Printing, and the company's website is www.hardcopyprinting.com.
