15948: Simidor, re JJeanpierre, re "those crazy claims" (fwd)

From: Daniel Simidor <karioka9@mail.arczip.com>

Sometime in 1993, Aristide gave a speech at the UN where he
explained at length how Cedras and company were getting $200
million a year from the drugs passing through Haiti. Why is it
taboo for people to ask how that money is being apportioned today?
"Chat konnen, rat konnen, kabrit domi nan solèy." Why is
JJEANPIERRE so touchy on the subject? Uncle Sam knows the names
of all the senior Lavalas people involved in the drug trade.
That's one of the things, I'm sure, he's holding over their heads.
Are the people only to remain ignorant of such matters? (Eske se
pèp la sèl ki pou pa janm konnen?)
