The D-Day of Symposium One in Atlanta is approaching
at the speed of light and we count on all of you.
Below, you will see a list of some outstanding
speakers. The Symposium will start with Ms. Frances
Maclean at 3:00 PM sharp, an Art exposition with Mr.
Essud Fungcap and Mr. Marcel Wah; and as well as a
small troubadour under the direction of Mr. Essud
Fungcap.

Presentation: Miseries of democracy in Haiti: the
socio-political response.
He will be speaking of the role played by violence in
Haitian politics, the failure of our leaders to
transcend party affiliation to unite all Haitians for
the welfare of the State. He will present his thoughts
on what ought to be done in order to pull Haiti from
the edge of the abysses: our two hundred years of
independence have been nothing but 200 years
IN-DEPENDANCE.

Mr. Roland Victor, (Tampa, FL)
Presentation: on what they are doing for the
Bicentennial of Haiti
2004: An Opportunity Not A Celebration!

Ms. Frances Maclean, Journalist  (Washington, DC)
Presentation: Linkage between Haiti and US: Slide Show

Ms. Frances Maclean is a freelance journalist who
first reported from Haiti
in 1978. Her work has appeared in the Smithsonian
Magazine, the Washington Post, Washingtonian Magazine,
The Economist of London, the Los Angeles Times, among
other publications. She is at work on a novel set
during the first US Occupation of Haiti, 1915-34. She
lives in Washington, DC.


Ms. Guirlaine Celius and members of Haiti Community
Development Inc. (HCDI) (NY)
will be presenting a project that they recently
completed entitled
 "Solar-Powered Wireless Internet Access for Rural
Education".
