18090: Arthur - new outrage, Aristide supporters smoke grass (fwd)

From: Tttnhm@aol.com

Charles Arthur writes:

Good God! What next? On the Radio Metropole web site, I read the following
report on Wednesday's pro-government demonstration of over 20,000 people in
Port-au-Prince:
"The Aristide supporters were so overcome with joy that many of them did not
hesitate to smoke marijuana in full view of whomever might be watching.

Just to make sure that this outrage was not made up, I checked Alterpresse.
What did I find? Blow me, the exact same information:
"The Aristide supporters took to the streets of the capital without any
difficulty, singing and dancing to the rhythm of rara music to express their
support for the head of State. 'Aristide for five years, if they (the Aristide
opponents Aristide) do not agree, (Aristide will remain in power) 10 years',
threatened his supporters, while a strong odour of marijuana floated in the air."

I am dumbstruck. Smoking marijuana! Next they'll be telling us some of these
ruffians were not even wearing ties, their shirts were not pressed, and at
home they are known to fornicate out of wedlock. An abomination indeed!
