MIAMI - The Coast Guard cutter Dauntless on Thursday returned 137 Haitian
migrants to Port au Prince in their native land.

The group were part of the 148 migrants rescued last Sunday from a 30-foot
sailing vessel after it was spotted 65 miles south of Great Inagua in the
Bahamas.

The overloaded sailboat was destroyed as a hazard to navigation.

Eleven of the migrants were taken to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and turned over
to federal immigration officials for further questioning.
