________

"Big Ben" Dupuy was for a while Aristide's "ambassador at large", appointed
to the specially-created post because there was much opposition around
Aristide to having this quarrelsome chamelion at the heart of the
administration. He later found a "principled" pretext to resign, doubtless
because he was being kept at arm's length.

Hard to believe the money he got for this "job" was "related to the
improvement of the Haitian people's situation."

Dupuy's record of transparency is pretty poor, so this denial of the PPN
receiving such funds from Aristide is not very credible. If Ives is close
enough to the PPN to make assertions about its funding, can he provide
information about the source of it all, plus a few "membership" figures for
what is often billed as a "leading" political group in Haiti?

Once in power, the likes of the PPN would have us all obey them on pain of
arrest or imprisonment for "betraying the revolution" ... "subversive
behaviour" ... "encouraging terrorism" ... "affronting the dignity of the
head of state" and all the other specious crimes invented by the
authorities (US, Haiti, wherever...).
