19386: Laleua: Power sharing or elections for new government?

From: NLaleau@aol.com

I don't see any legitimate basis for the opposition/s to "share power"
with
an elected government. If Aristide does decide to step down, no one should
replace him but an honestly elected government. Let the opposition run in
an
honest election and see if they can win any seats. No minuscule parties,
no thugs,
no cannibals should automatically be granted power to rule just by virtue
of
boycotting elections and marching on the capital. However, how can an
honestly
elected government rule amidst chaos if there is no structure for
governance
and basically no economy? Who will eliminate the drug trade? How? --nancy
