21048: Leiderman: money for the biodiversity & HIV/AIDs connection (fwd)

From: Stuart M Leiderman <leidermn@cisunix.unh.edu>

dear Readers:

this request for proposals comes from
websitehttp://www.religionandsocialpolicy.org/news/article.cfm?id=1340

U.S. AGENCY FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Community-based and faith-based organizations are invited to apply for a
cooperative agreement with USAID entitled Cross-Sectoral Approaches for
Biodiversity Conservation. The grant will support activities that address
biodiversity (biologically diverse habitats) issues in relation to a
variety of social and economical areas such as HIV/AIDS, sustainable
agriculture, economic growth, and governance. The geographic focus is open
to any country where USAID has a presence. One to three grants of
$100,000-$250,000 will be awarded.

Applications are due April 19, 2004. Further details are in the annual
program statement at http://www.fedgrants.gov/EPSData/AID/Synopses/
93/M-OP-EGAT-04/Annual_Program_Statemen.doc.

I'd be happy to work with anyone who's interested in developing an idea
for applying this to Haiti.

thanks,

Stuart Leiderman
