Expressions Gallery Invites You to An Art Exhibit


April 6, 2004, Brooklyn, New York --Expressions Gallery
announces an art exhibit, featuring Haitian Women Artists in the Diaspora.
The show is commemorating Haiti’s Bicentennial (1804-2004) and spotlighting
Haitian women visual artists.   An opening reception will be held Saturday, April
10, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Works by the following Haitian women artists: Klode, Nancy Dejean, Jaïra
Placide and Marie Placide make up the exhibit.  These women live and paint in the
Haitian community in New York and are profoundly inspired by dreams and
visions of their homeland.  The exhibit will run from April 10 to May 13.  For
