King's hat trick lifts Jamaica

>From Herald Wire Services

Marlon King scored all three goals in the first half Sunday as Jamaica
easily beat Haiti 3-0 in Kingston, Jamaica, to advance to the semifinal
round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying 4-1 on aggregate.

King first headed Ricardo Gardener's corner kick past goalkeeper Gabard
Fenelon in the fifth minute and then headed home a cross from Damani Ralph
in the 15th.

The striker notched his third goal in the 32nd minute, sliding to tap in a
cross from Ralph.

Haiti's best chance of the first half came in the 24th minute when Jemps
Dorcelus' shot was blocked by goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts' legs. Haiti came
close again in the 82nd minute when Ricketts went full stretch to parry an
overhead shot from Jean Lemera.

Both teams finished with 10 men as Garfield Reid was ejected for rough play
in the 70th and Haitian defender Roosevelt Desir was later expelled after
getting his second yellow card.
