From: Senou <senou@yahoo.com>

Why changing the course?

There is no reason whatsoever to change course and the
people who are going to Haiti shall be able to tour
the Citadelle the 8th marvelous monument in the world
and other historical sites. I do not believe these
folks pay all this money to stay in one place.
In touring these sites, you are not endorsing anyone;
there might be other problems, which have nothing to
do with anything that is going on in the country.
That sudden change may be due to a like of planning
and preparation; at this particular moment, all hotels
should have been booked already.
There is no probable cause to change the itinerary and
the people deserve a different explanation.
In Washington DC, Haiti: freedom of creativity from
the Mountains of the Sea was done and in Atlanta the
Haitian Community Relations, Inc organized the first
Haitian Convention in the Diaspora on June 25-26.

When organizing an event of this magnitude, one must
plan for the worst-case scenario and frankly I do not
see any reason whatsoever to alter the itinerary. The
country is facing some tough moment and many are
driven by emotion or friendship. What had taken place
in Haiti may be unfortunate, but we have to move on.
Remember that whoever angers you, conquers you.
Regardless of where you stand in the Haitian saga, the
organizer shall not prevent the people who paid their
money to visit Haiti and touring various historical
sites. Be careful in changing the rules in the middle
of the game. If the rip was cancelled, it could have
been understood but if you go to Haiti the people
deserve to visit our historical sites and again this
has nothing to do with endorsing anyone.

Folks, Haiti is more than an individual; now, what we
need to do is to make sure that does not happen again.
And frankly, it is again time to move on. However, if
you have enough back up and can redress the situation
with another military action: go for it. But, if you
are complaining only without any intention to take
action. You are playing on people emotion and wasting
your time.

If you can, I invite you to pay a visit to Haiti; if
you are Haitians go back home and spend a cool
vacation. Buy Haitian artifacts, Haitian paintings,
buy Haitian clothes, go eat in various restaurants,
and do not forget to buy Haitian rum: Barbancourt the
reserved the best in the world. Go spend some cool
evening in various hotels and hopefully they might
hire more employees. Again back to school is coming
soon, do not forget to assist some parents who may
have some difficulties to send their children to
school.
Please, do not make the suffering Haitians paying for
something they have no control over. These people
need you, please help them out if you can.

If the parent of a child did you wrong, are you going
to take the revenge on his/her child, I don’t think
so.

May you have all a great weekend!
(Senou)
