dear Readers:

just now, National Public Radio broadcast a brief interivew of Ron
Daniels, Center for Constitutional Rights, who is going to Haiti,
evidently separate from the cruise ship.  he laid the responsibility for
continuing human rights abuses on the Latortue administration and gave
additional reasons why the cruise will skip a mainland visit.  the
audio will probably be posted on NPR's website tomorrow.

in my earlier post, I may have mistakenly written "Law" instead of
"Rights" in CCR's name.
