My daughter has a Haitian friend whose visa has expired and has been 
informed that she has to return to Haiti to reapply for another visa.  
Her father who was a permanent resident has begun the process of 
petitioning for her permanent residency when he passed away.  The 
daughter is afraid to return to Haiti for fear of her life.  Does anyone 
have any suggestions on a possible course of action for her?  Someone 
had suggested going to Canada and seeking sponsorship from a church.
