25096: Kathleen (opinion) Haiti's justice system (fwd)

From: kathleen burke <kathleenburke704@hotmail.com>

After reading Patrick Lemoine's FORT DIMANCHE: Dungeon of Death (he was
imprisoned for six years without his family knowing under Baby Doc [during
those 70s some people think were so wonderful]), and the newspaper accounts
over the past years of tractors breaking people out of jail, of presumed
killers of Jean Dominique escaping, when no one has been charged with his
murders and 2/3 of his dossier is missing, of Neptune "refusing to go" to
three trial dates and being treated as a martyr by the usual ignoranti, I
say : Haiti has no justice system.

Unless you count the middle-aged woman in a black robe and a 17th century
curly white wig who appeared regularly on Haitian tv whenever a court case
was "covered" by the State. Kathleen
