Please make this an anonymous post.

Contrary to Jacqui's information, the assailants of the American vehicle
with diplomatic plates were well aware they were shooting at Americans.
That is the reason the ambassador and the State Department ordered a
mandatory departure of dependents beginning today and to be completed by
 Monday.

In addition, John Curelly was kidnapped because the kidnappers thought he
 was an American.

A man who was kidnapped on Monday and who escaped miraculously the next
day was told by his abductors that they are members of the Baghdad Army
who are at war with the IGOH, MINUSTAH, and the HNP. They said they are
kidnapping to raise money to buy arms and ammunition to ensure that
Aristide comes back. He was taken to an area that is an Aristide
stronghold and most kidnapping victims are taken to this area. He was
 also tortured by his kidnappers.

The rules of the game have changed.

Thank God John Currelly was released unharmed yesterday. No news if he
had to pay any ransom.

My top insider information told me the Americans who were shot at, were
just simply in the wrong place - as the US has a warehouse in what has
become a dodgy area, and it was not US Embassy people being targeted per
se.
