CAMPAIGN FOR HAITI
“Trees , Culture, Hope” RePlant Haiti – Carnegie Hall Concert June
10th
To Support the Reforestation of Haiti
New York, NY – Civil rights activist and actor  Danny Glover will be joined
by filmmaker Jonathan Demme and human rights  attorney Michael Ratner, at a
concert on June 10th at Carnegie Hall  to kickoff RePlant Haiti, a campaign
launched by a  cooperative of human rights advocates,  ecologists and artists
such
as Essence Magazine founder Susan L. Taylor,  musician Wyclef Jean and
actress  and activist Susan Sarandon to benefit the reforestation of  Haiti.
Mapou  Productions, in association with Forest City Ratner Companies, will
also be  joined by a diverse group of supporters including American Jewish
World
 Services; MADRE; and (FAN) Friends of  Nature of  Haiti.
Scheduled to perform are (list in formation): Kiskeya:  The Haitian Orchestra
of Jean Jean-Pierre, Kate Taylor, Tabou Combo, Erna  Letemps, Jean-Claude
Eugène, Léon Dimanche, Emmanuel Obas, , Myriam Barthelus,  Michel Lemorin,
Hadiyah, Carole Alexis, Poet Kathy Engel, and Nènè  Letemps.
