25508: dreamcatcher: The Plight of Haitian Deportees --- by Frantz Pierre (fwd)

From: dreamcatcher8472@aol.com

Frantz Pierre is a young man who was recently deported to Haiti after doing
his time in Norfolk prison in Norfolk, MA. After leaving Norfolk, he was
held incarcerated in various jails by Immigration before his final sojourn
back into Haiti. He is now being held in Haiti's National Penitentiary. Mr. Pierre is a man of great honesty, integrity and vision and he is also a man whom Jesus has ordained to be this country's next President and leader. Here is his tale and his story to you.

"This letter should be sent out to different organizations, news and Human
Rights Services.

Dear Friend:

This letter is written with the hope of shedding light on the present
injustice and harsh treatment of deportees arriving in Haiti - as of lately.

Recently, a family member, amongst a number of other Haitians, were deported
to Haiti ( May 16, 2005 ). Prior to the deportation, Haitian consulates met
and spoke to all deportees assuring they would be released upon arrival in
Haiti if a family member were prepared to take custody and responsibility. A
process which should take four (4) to seven (7) days, according to
consulates. However, the words of the consulates have proven to be false.

Once deportees arrived in Haiti, a number of men were released at the
airport regardless of their offense(s). Another group of men were hurdled to
prison, presumably for their crime committed in the States. Once in prison,
family members have been attending government meetings to secure release of
family. Yet, no one has been released. Although, none of the deportees have
committed a crime in Haiti. And many have already served their sentence in
the

States.

Information regarding to how long deportees will be held in prison, why they
are not being released to family members, why some deportees who had similar
or same crime(s) as others were released and others were not, are not being
answered.

Furthermore, there's no voice to speak on this injustice on behalf of
deportees who are literally imprisoned again for offenses which they had
served

time for in the States.

A voice of Humanity is needed on behalf of these men; some are very old,
others young, and some are sick ready to start a new life with their love
ones,

but now find themselves in a political affair.

Will you please provide a voice for the Helpless at this time?

Frantz Pierre"

Mr. Pierre says that he has kept this letter general, but that specific
information can be made available upon request. He asks that all letters
