True that the line of demarcation between voodoo and catholic practices is
often blurred in Haiti, this is the first time I ever heard of July the 16th,
the date of celebration of the apparition of the lady of Carmel (or so they
say)  at Ville Bonnheur or Saut D'eau as a Voodoo celebration. Not to deny that

some  practices that might be related to voodoo do take place at that time at
the same  place.
