25962: Michel" (ask) Haitian Econ-formal and informal sector (fwd)

From: Herve Michel <herve.michel@gmail.com>

Salut,

I would like to know if anyone has historical data of basic food stuff
like dry and natural fish.

I would also like to know if Haitian are still getting their cod fish
from Canadian fisheries and if there is any moves to bring processing
of fish inland(a la Namibia.)

Another question: who own the land under the bidon villes of Haiti.
e.g. cite soleil, etc...do the people actually pay rent to people or
is it squatter economics?

Last but not least: The Tap Tap and Borlette entrepreneur are there
any 'respected' study of that sector?

The last is a non sequitur: Does Haitian 'publicly' funded school
provide a meal(a la india) to the school children?

Sincerely,

Jean-Marie Herve Michel, fils
