And let's cut the facile formulations.

A facile formulation if ever there was one...

C'mon, Daniel. Let's get real.
"How much money did Daniel Simidor get from Batay Ouvriye and NED? We'll
never know since that book is kept closed." See how easy (and meaningless)
it is?

C'mon Kim! Let's get real.

Why _can't_ we know the truth about where Haiti Progres has got its funding
throughout its 24-year life?

What money has it got from your family ties with the Morgan Guaranty Trust
Bank? And don't duck out by playing games about the precise name of this
changing company. The paper and the PPN "party" are supposed to be "at the
service of the people," so why can't we know, beyond bland and undoubtedly
"economical-with-the-truth" remarks about "readers' contributions" and
"advertising" ?

How come such questions are always crucial when they concern the likes of
Batay Ouvriye but never when asked of Haiti-Progrès and its neo-Stalinist
bosses, who also claim to be important players In Haiti?
