In Haiti there isn't such a thing a lynching in the american sense. If the
people or a mob get angry enough or if their ire is directed at you they may
use  any means available to do you in. That includes stones, machetes sticks
and

even  cars. So the question as to whether it was a lynching or otherwise may
not be  too relevant. If the news reports are correct, a policeman pulled his
gun  and shot a member of the crowd for some supposed disorderly conduct
(this is still one side of the story) I do agree this was an important  story.
It
does point up to one thing: It is that the people aren't willing to  just
stand by and tolerated what they perceive as  abusive  conduct anymore like it
used to be during the times of the all powerful  and tyranical army or the
times

of the much dreaded tonton macoutes. And  people in position of power ought to
take notice. At least that is my take on  the incident.
