29006: Morse (reply) Koughan/ Jay/ the press (fwd)

I remember watching the demonstrations demanding the departure of Mr A. The
first big one was about 60,000 near people near Cap Haitian, a year or two
before the actual departure. Very little media coverage. It wasn't till Guy
Philippe and the guys got involved a couple weeks before the departure, that
the press became interested. So much so that they called it <the two week
rebellion which ousted President Aristide>. All the press showed up in the
same
24
hour period. Why did they wait so long?.... No bodies, no news. Well where
are the bodies now? Why is he news now?

I guess you folks forgot the logistical undertaking (Troops, ships, tanks,
tents, MRE's, helicopters, housing, specialists, psychops, AND the glass
cage!!) it took the bring our friend back in '94. Who's going to pay for that?
The
South African government? Who's going to pay for security? Was it 9 million
a year? What's he costing South Africa now? I can understand the South
African government wanting to get him out of their hair. He's probably a pain
in
the butt. It's normal for them to want to ship him back. That's a very
expensive college professor. If he comes back, the country will come to an
immediate
halt. Period.

In any case, I'm not going to discuss him anymore. He's a negative force and
we need to be doing positive things right now. If any one wants to lay a
little wager, no talk, just a little money on the table, come on by the hotel.
P. S. I have a lot of friends in the press and media and none of my
criticisms are directed to any of them !!!!!!!!
