Denizé Lauture is an eloquent and knowledgeable speaker on issues of
colonialism, identity,and language.  He is the first born of 13 peasant
children,
migrated to the Unuited States from Haiti in 1968.  He is professor of French
at
St Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, NY.  Lauture writes in Creole, English,
and French.  He is the author of the Blues of the Lightening Matamorphosis,
Father and Son, Running the Road to ABC, and When the Denizen Weeps.
He was born in La Vallée de Jacmel.
