What does objectivity mean for a journalist in Haiti? Are Adams and Deibert 
totally objective when they report. Your objectivity in Haiti is always related 
to your personal experience (If you have lost a friend under the bullet of the 
Minustah/PNH macoutes etc. then you might be against the coup because you 
understand the consequences of the forced departure of Aristide. If you know 
somebody who hates Aristide because he was mistakenly not invited to one of 
Arisitde's Christmas cocktails, then you might want to applaud the right wing 
guerilla movement that created the conditions for the 2004 coudnapping.

Besides, what objectivity do you need when you see blue helmets firing 
blindfully on a few sheds hoping to scare a few bandits and not caring about 
the innocents caught in the fire. Who is the villain? The trained soldier who 
knows he is shooting in a civilian area? Or the civilian who should have left 
before the punitive expedition knowing he risked to lose his life or his baby's 
life. These are the real questions when we talk about right or wrong or just 
and not just.

You can try to be as objective as you want to be but you always fail to do so. 
Is CCN objective? No!
Is Democracy Now objective? No! Is BBC objective? NO. There is always your 
heart, your experience and you instinct playing in. I say the only way to be as 
true and just as possible is to listen to your instinct and it will tell you 
what is just and what is not. Try to be fair !!! Not objective. T
