Weren't the fevers a normal  factor of waging war in the tropics ?

Was this not also the situation in South America (ie. Colombia, Venezuela,Nicaragua ?) even in the Southern US.


These ex-slaves won a victory and a war and should receive credit for it.

One should not try to find mitigating circumstances for the French army. Theylost.
