30789: Minsky: (report) from the porch of the Oluffson (fwd)

During this period of calm the porch (and hotel) has seen its comings and
goings of the usual suspects--a former long time resident now visiting,
filmmakers, european visiting artists, vodou art scholars, this
photographer (me), passing through academics and an occassional monitoring
type. Diaspora after visiting north are staying, children and all, before
they head back to the U.S.


Meanwhile, local residents--Haitian and not--pass through for the typical
porch banter on politics, art, vodou, you name it.

Thursday nites are at the pool with a band that opens.
