6051: 6036: Reform schools in Haiti? (fwd)

From: JHUDICOURTB@aol.com

There is some boarding school on the Nationale #1 near the Flour and Ciment
mill called The Haitian Academy. I have no idea how good it is. Boarding
schools in Haiti are generally poor on human relations. There are some good
reasons to send a teen back but only if there are some loving adults who are
going to talk to him and protect him, and try to help him build
relationships. There are non-boarding bilingual schools, the Adventist
church campus in Carrefour has one and there are several in the
Port-au-Prince/Petion-Ville area. All expensive (by Haiti's tuition
standards) , none great.
