From: Lois E Wilcken <makandal-ny@juno.com>

Master Drummer Frisner Augustin and his drummers of La Troupe Makandal
will play a brief but powerful set at New York City's Sounds of Brazil
(SOB's) on Wednesday, June 27. The occasion is the opening of Haitian
filmmaker Raoul Peck's Lumumba, followed by a party at SOB's. Proceeds
will go to the Patrice Lumumba Coalition.

The film opens at the Film Forum, 209 West Houston Street, and SOB's is
at 204 Varick Street. The doors open at SOB's at 9:30, and the program
starts at 9:45. In addition to the drum performance, Mr. Peck will speak
and take questions from the audience. You can find further information
on how to purchase tickets to the film screening and opening night party
