merry,
when i was in DR [about a month ago] there was a report about the increasing 
use of dominican children in the drug business. there were no reference to 
haitian children. but this can be tricky. because in DR children of haitian 
descent [even of third generation] are not considered as dominican and are 
defined as haitian. and i wonder if a child born in haiti could manage and 
transport so easily drugs without [i presume] knowing spanish and speaking it 
fluently...
