In a time when America and "Americans" are being targeted by terrorists 
forces. The question of identity as Haitian or Haitian-American comes to 
mind. 
Who are we? and how do we identify ourselves? Does it matter?

WRITING CONTEST 

FIRST PRIZE WINS $100*
SECOND PRIZE WINS $50*
THIRD PRIZE WINS $25* 

1. What is your definition of the word "Haitian"?

2. As a Haitian living overseas, How do you identify yourself? 
(Haitian, Haitian-American, etc...)

To be eligible you must be 15 years or older. All writing must be in 
English, between 500 to 700 words. Only one entry per person. Contest expires 
December 31, 2001. 
All entries must be received or postmarked by 12/31/2001. EchodHaiti.com 
is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail or e-mail. All entries 
become the property of EchodHaiti.com and may be published on the 
website. WINNERS will be announced by January 31, 2002. EchodHaiti.com 
reserves the right to amend the rules and to disqualify certain contestants.
