13794: Saint-Vil asks about El Nacional article re U.S. Ambassador to Haiti (fwd)

From: Jean Saint-Vil <jafrikayiti@hotmail.com>

Can people in the know please confirm these incredible assertions attributed
to Dominican Republic newspaper “el Nacional”:

1)	U.S. Ambassador Brian Dean Curran took part in the recent anti-government
protests that rocked Haiti, even delivering a speech at the November 18th
rally of Cap-Haitien where participants openly called for President
Aristide’s ouster?

2)	Washington anounced closing the U.S. embassy in Port-au-Prince after
President Aristide refused to receive Brian Dean Curran who was en route to
ask him to leave power.

The article which is said to be dated Sat. November 23, is titled “Afirman
Bush está detrás líos en Haití” – (Bush confirmed to be behind Haiti
scandals). I have seen this article posted in french and Spanish on two
Haitian websites so far. Can anyone confirm or reject these assertions or
even if the article was indeed published Saturday?

There is too much craziness flying around these days...

Thanks,

Jafrikayiti
