Oh, at last, a person who knows the Central Plateau from experience, rather
than the newspaper.  It's lush, isn't it, Patrick?  And beautiful; the
little towns all have well-kept flourishing little parks.  The people are
sweet, too - the CP encompasses a large area.  Like the references to the
elite, bourgeoisie, middle class, references to the CP often are facile and
vague.  Glad you were there?   Can you imagine, I swam for hours nearly
every Sunday while we were in Papay (2/3 of the time we were in Port or
traveling around Haiti.)  A perfect life, or nearly so.  kb
