Janey Wynne, the Agronome has a great program where she has a machine
that compresses paper into a 'rond' and it can be used INSTEAD of
charcoal. She sells it to the locals in Kenscoff. I save up all my paper
- which is already used on 2 sides - I beg from people who have
businesses or schools or embassies to give me their used (on one side)
paper and I use it for my draft stuff, or when I need to print emails,
and then when its used on both sides I keep it until I go to Kenscoff
and then deliver sacks of it to Janey. When I have worked at Govt.
offices I have seen how they used to waste paper - if a photocopy
doesn't work out then they throw it away and use another piece - how
many millions of trees are being wasted because of this. So I urge all
of the Corbeteers to get on board with this program and let Janey have
your used paper. (I hope she will be able to cope with the influx!!)

Turning to irrigation, how many of you have been to Saut d'Eau? They
have wonderful water (offshoot from the falls) running down the sides of
the main road, and YET there are no irrigation channels to take it to
the fields to produce food. I can't believe how much of this water is
being wasted. So simple - why has no enterprising NGO, or even local
farmer done something about this?!!!
