RUNNING: Haitian Sanon wins Atlantic City Marathon

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (Oct 20, 1997) -- Harold Sanon of Haiti won the Atlantic City Marathon on Sunday, overcoming wind, rain and slippery conditions on the Boardwalk to finish in 2 hours, 31 minutes, 34 seconds.

John Groff of New Market, Md., was second, in 2:42:24, and Stephen Gair of Britain third in 2:47:35. Nancy Morales of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., won the women's race in 3:14:57.
